Birth Doulas
The birth doula is a professionally trained labor support companion, who will offer continuous non-medical support during labor, help with emotional needs, and provide information, physical comfort and suggestions to the laboring woman and her companion. She does not replace the partner/labor supporter; instead she gives ideas for how the partner can be more supportive and gives positive feedback to the partner for the support he/she is giving. She will also help the birth mom with the first breastfeeding experience after the baby's birth. The birth doula does not give medical advice or administer any medical procedures.

Bed-rest Support
Care will be provided to a mother who has been placed on bed-rest due to complication of her pregnancy. Caring, non-judgmental, non-medical support is available by a trained care giver to help the pregnant mother with daily household tasks, meals, doctor's visits, shopping, child care, and nursery organization. Most importantly we provide emotional support, companionship, and guidance.

While muti-tasking, the postpartum doula remains caring, empathetic and non-judgmental. The postpartum doula does not give medical advice or administer any medical procedures. The postpartum doula works hourly. Overnight doula care is also available.

| In-Hospital Postpartum Doulas
We now offer postpartum doulas to stay with moms in their hospital rooms when Dad is not able to, for the unexpected c-sections where mom wants to keep baby in the room with her. Having the doula stay in the room with mom, means she won't have to send the baby to the nursery even though she is recovering in bed. Great for a mom who is planning on breastfeeding!
